Knight and Day: The Action-Comedy Hit of the Summer

Released earlier this summer, Knight and Day is a comedy thriller starring Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise. These two stars take us on an action-packed adventure as Tom Cruise plays an undercover agent who is sent on a mission he isn’t expected to complete. Diaz somehow manages to get caught up with this agent and is caught in the crossfire between him and the people out to get him. After first being kidnapped by Cruise, she begins to trust him. Before long, they both discover they have no choice but to rely on each other, because that’s all they’ve got. Numerous impressive action scenes make for quite a visually appealing film, on top of the fact that two of Hollywood’s hottest stars play the lead roles.This summer marks the first time Diaz and Cruise hit the big screen together since Vanilla Sky in 2001. And it appears history has repeated itself as they two once again make a great pair. Knight and Day is directed by James Mangold, 46 year old American film director and screenwriter. Mangold is best-known for directing and co-writing Walk the Line, about the life of Johnny and June Carter Cash. Other memorable works by Mangold include Cop Land, Girl Interrupted and Kate and Leopold.
